We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our rapidly growing team of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency enthusiasts and engineers. We are building the Subspace Network, a radically decentralized, next-generation blockchain that scales far beyond existing designs. Subspace is based on original research funded by the US National Science Foundation and will be launching as a parachain on the Polkadot Network early next year. This role is best suited for someone who excels at wearing many hats while working within a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. You should be both a jack-of-all-trades and a master of bringing just enough order to the chaos to keep things moving forward. Your mission is to support and enable the leadership team so that they may focus on building and launching the product. You will report directly to the CEO and will have the freedom to further define your role as the team grows.
Take ownership of accounting, invoicing, payroll, benefits, employee onboarding, financial planning, crypto asset management, and more.
Assist with fundraising tasks such as managing decks and models, outreach, scheduling, due diligence, cap table management, and investor updates.
Manage relations with key partners including strategic customers, research foundations, consulting firms, and incubator/accelerator programs.
Work hand-in-hand with the CEO and counsel to ensure we remain within legal and regulatory compliance.
Manage external communications with the public through official company channels including press releases, announcements, and status updates.
Assist with planning and strategy related to fundraising, token economics, hiring, growth, outreach, and business development.
Prior experience at an early stage technology startup, ideally as an early hire or founding team member, ideally in the FinTech, RegTech, or Crypto industries.
Familiarity and experience with the current blockchain and cryptocurrency landscape, especially DeFi protocols and token fundraising.
A background in economics, accounting, or financial management, with a passion for numbers and a quantitative bent.

Experience with Gusto, Lever, Wave, Xero, CapTable.io, exchanges (Coinbase, Kraken), Wallets (Gnosis SAFE), DeFi protocols (Uniswap, Compound, Aave)
Previously participated in a Seed, Series A, or Token fundraising round.
Experience with grant fundraising and management, such as NSF, GitCoin, or Web3 foundation.
Familiarity with the legal and regulatory aspects of cryptocurrencies.
Experience with software engineering, smart contract development, or the theoretical underpinning of blockchains and cryptocurrencies.
