Polymath is an interface between financial securities and the blockchain, helping issuers to overcome the complex technical and legal challenges related to issuing regulated securities on the blockchain. We are a team of start-up veterans, legal experts, finance professionals, and all-star developers looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis, implementation, troubleshooting, and operations administration of cloud-based development and production infrastructure in support of Polymath developers & executives. This is a broad-discipline system administration role with requirements to manage significant technical diversity.
Maintenance of cloud infrastructure and cloud asset lifecycles (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, etc).
Maintenance of CI/CD infrastructure (Concourse, CircleCI, ArgoCD, etc).
Management and supervision of monitoring infrastructure (Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, ELK stack, etc).
Development and upkeep of Helm charts for Polymath products.
Maintenance of backups and DR procedures.
Enforcing best practices with external Vendors - relationship and negotiating skills will be used often.
Working directly with architects and developers to analyse problems and provide solutions.
Development, implementation, enforcement of standard operating procedures and schedules to support the engineering team.
5+ years of previous experience as a Devops Engineer, Systems Administrator or related role.
Strong background in CI/CD for distributed systems.
Terraform, Ansible and/or Kubernetes experience highly preferred.
Experience with Cloud Compute Providers (AWS/DigitalOcean preferred but Google Cloud/Azure/etc also considered).
Experience with container orchestration.
Proficiency with a scripting programming language (Python, bash, etc).
Experience with system architecture and design.
Experience doing root cause analysis on distributed systems.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, being able to explain complex technical concepts clearly and succinctly to less-savvy audiences.
Team player - able to function cohesively within a globally distributed team dynamic.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
Bonus points for:
Personal and/or professional experience with blockchain/DLT technologies and/or cryptocurrencies.
Understanding of financial securities and the various participants in the securities ecosystem
Start-up experience, including remote teams.
Knowledgeable regarding security best practices.
Programming experience with Rust, golang, and node.js
